Well...here we are finally...can't promise I will everyday but i will give it a try...damn that's so reflective practice...

Well today I presented a 6 min promo video of some amazing work we have just completed around Youth Action to my colleagues and they loved it! It shows the young people, what they have learnt, what they feel they got out of it and the soul of what we were trying to achieve. Now we need to launch both groups in Brentwood and Castlepoint (that's where the young people were from) as new youth councils and I can start working with Basildon and Rochford...all sound a bit confusing...well it is...I haven't told you what we were trying to achieve...this is my first blog you know... : )

I also attended a Princes Trust presentation in Basildon. I am so proud of the workers there...new team...12 young people finished the course and this team was not the easiest by a long shot but they did brilliantly and it was nice to know that they achieved it all...so much learning and developing for staff and young people

Next week...cos I am on holiday at the moment...I will be delivering PAYP activities with Connexions so I hope to put a note on everyday...Connexions have now become part of the Council but its all quiet on the western front at the mo...I do know the youth workers are looking forward to working with the Connexions workers but not sure what the reverse is?

At the end of the day...if it does make it better for young people then that's what it should be about!
